The seven member Board of Education acts as the school district's policy-making board and is the official representative of the people for all public education in the Frenship Independent School District. The Board functions according to state and federal laws, and the State Commissioner of Education and will of the people as expressed in district elections. The Board of Trustees, while composed of individuals, acts officially only as a group. No member, person or group of persons acts in the name of the Board except when authorized by the Board to do so. Trustees serve without pay for overlapping terms of three years. Elections are conducted in May. Candidates run for specific places but do not represent certain geographical areas. Board officers are elected by its membership.

Brad Draper - President Board Member since 2004 Brad graduated from Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University. He has a 25 year career in the structural waterproofing and roofing industry and is the Regional Vice President for ARMKO Industries, Inc., a professional engineering firm. He and his wife, Lynda were married in 1987. They have two daughters - Ashlee, a 2007 Frenship graduate, and Kinsey, a 2008 Frenship graduate. Brad's family attends church at Southcrest Baptist Church. He and his family enjoy the outdoors, wakeboarding and fishing. Spending time with their daughters is one of their greatest opportunities to teach their girls about the spirit of competition and the values of giving 110% percent effort. |

David graduated from Childress High School and from Texas Tech University, in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. He is President of McDougal Construction.
He has been married to his wife, Jo for 27 years, who also graduated from Texas Tech University. They have one daughter, Kelsey, 20, a Frenship High School graduate, and presently a junior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a member of the Southeastern Ladies' basketball team.
David's interests include skiing, fishing, hunting, gardening and collegiate sports. |
Scott Stockton - Secretary

Scott is the Director of Field Services at PCCA. He was born and raised in Wolfforth, graduating from Frenship in 1983 and Texas Tech in 1987, where he received a B.S. and an M.S. in Agriculture Education.
His son, Taylor is in the 10th grade at Frenship High School. Reagan, his daughter, is a 7th grader at Frenship Middle School. His hobbies include stock showing with his kids, Texas Tech football and basketball, and Frenship sports. Scott volunteers with United Way. |
 Kelley Grimes - Member Board Member since May, 2009 Kelley Grimes is currently the Vice President of Marketing for Atmos Energy’s West Texas Division. Kelley, a native of Oklahoma, received her BBA in Marketing from West Texas State University in 1987. She has been married to Marvin Grimes, originally from Wheeler, Texas and also a graduate of West Texas State University, for 18 years. Marvin owns an Allstate agency in Lubbock. They have two children that attend Frenship Independent School District. Their son, Dee, is a sophomore at Frenship High School and daughter, Drue, is in the 7th grade at Frenship Middle School. Kelley is involved in several civic and community organizations including Rotary, United Way and National Charity League. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, golfing and watching her children participate in sporting activities. |
Jerry McCabe - Member Board Member since 2005 Dr. McCabe is a physician, with a B.S. and M.D. from Texas Tech University. He is married to Yvette and he has two children, Maci, 18 and Vance, 16. His hobbies include flying, hunting and fishing. |
Troy Vanderburg - Member Board Member since May, 2010 Troy Vanderburg is the Chief Operations Officer at Peoples Bank. He has a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing from Texas Tech University and a Master's degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. Troy is currently a member of the Frenship Foundation for Leadership which raises funds for scholarships for graduating seniors and for Frenship staff in need of financial assistance. He has also served as Treasurer of the Frenship Communities Political Action Committee which raised money in support of the district's bond election. He was a graduate of the 2000-2001 class of Lubbock Leadership. Troy has been married to his wife, Rhonda for sixteen years. Rhonda teaches at Oak Ridge Elementary and was the Frenship PTA Elementary Educator of the Year and Crestview Teacher of the Year in 2008. They have three children - Jack is a sophomore at FHS, Annie is an 8th grader at FMS, and Lillie is a 6th grader at FMS. The Vanderburgs attend Experience Life Church. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf and attending the many activities in which his children are involved. |
 Jolyn C. Wilkins - Member Board Member since May, 2009 Jolyn Wilkins is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist Attorney and partner at the firm Fargason Booth St.Clair Richards & Wilkins, LLP. She graduated from Lubbock Monterey High School in 1982, received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University in 1986, and her law degree from Texas Tech University in 1990. She has been married to Jerry Wilkins, a graduate of Lubbock Coronado High School and Texas Tech University for 20 years. Jerry is the District Sales Manager for Ecolab, Inc. Both of the Wilkins children attended Crestview Elementary and Frenship Middle School. Currently, Jason is a sophomore at Frenship High School and is involved in football, livestock showing, judging and helping his dad and grandpa at the ranch. Jessica is a 8th grader at Frenship Middle School and is involved in sports, livestock showing, National Charity League and dance. Jolyn's family enjoys raising and showing pigs, and supporting the various sporting, dance and school events of Jason and Jessica. They are active members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Southwest Campus, where Jerry and Jolyn are involved in leadership committees and teach Sunday school. Jason and Jessica are very involved with the youth program and missions. |
