The FISD Administrative Services Department will be responsible for reviewing and approving flyers and printed material for publication. Once the FISD Administrative Services approves the request, it will then be sent to the communications department for publication.

  • Each entity requesting to have information published to FISD students MUST provide FISD with a current 501(C)(3) Internal Revenue Service letter (Non Profit). The 501(C)(3) letter will remain on file with the district for one year. Note: Association with a non-profit organization is NOT sufficient to qualify a group as a non-profit organization; therefore, postings for these groups/individuals will not be approved.                                                                                                                                   
  • All flyers published to the FISD Online Marketplace must include the following disclaimer printed at the bottom: “THIS ORGANIZATION AND ITS ACTIVITIES ARE NOT RELATED TO OR SPONSORED BY THE FRENSHIP INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.”                                                                                                                       
  • The flyer should not contain advertising logos or promotions for any business/organization other than the approved non-profit agency submitting the flyer. No fundraising/event announcements are allowed from groups outside the school, unless there is a direct educational value to students and/or school.                                                                                                  
  • It is the responsibility of the requestor to submit an electronic copy of the flyer/information to Administrative Services, accompanied by a signed Approval Form.
     
  • All flyers must include the last day items will be sold.
  • Printed flyers will be made available for student pick-up only in the front office of the campus or another area of campus designated by the campus principal. Information related to campus, teacher, principal, campus PTA, campus PTO, district administration or Frenship Foundation will be permitted in student's weekly folders. Any information not meeting this criteria will be considered for the Online Marketplace.

  • Flyer publication requests are for a one-time distribution approval only and will be approved for distribution only one-time per semester.                                                                                                                                         
  • If at any time it is determined that previous flyers or written materials presented for approval contained false information or did not accurately represent the intent of the program, the approval of future flyers submitted by the requesting organization will be jeopardized.                                                                                                                                          
  • Flyers will not be published during the week prior to the winter holidays, the first week of the second semester or the last two weeks of school.

The FISD “Request to Distribute Flyers” form and a copy of the flyer and 501(C)(3) information should either be faxed to 806-866-0343 or emailed to the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services for approval. This form can be downloaded from the FISD website at www.frenship.us under the Community link.

The decision of the Executive Director of Administrative Services is final and is not appealable.
